What Does It Cost?
I don’t watch the clock when I design books, so I don’t charge by the hour. Instead, I charge by the project.
I also don’t charge for communication with my clients.
I’m available to talk, text, or email whenever an author needs to discuss something with me about an ongoing project.
Every author needs to make some revisions and corrections during the formatting and design process. That is a given, so I don’t charge for those changes. I work with the author to edit the material during the design process.
(I do add an hourly charge if a book interior or cover is nearing completion and the author changes course with narrative content and wishes to make major revisions or corrections. See hourly rate below.)
Project Fees
Included in these fees is assistance with the following: procuring ISBNs, LCCNs, and barcodes, opening and maintaining online accounts, uploading book files, and ongoing communication and consultation via email, text, and/or phone calls.

(I request a $100 deposit after we agree to work together. I use FreshBooks, an online invoicing service. )

Hourly Rate
I charge $45.00 an hour for additional work after the project has been completed or for major changes, revisions, or assistance beyond the normal requirements and expectations during the design process .
